Psalm 139 is the 139th psalm of the Book of Psalms, beginning in English in the King James Version: "O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me". In Latin, it is known as "Domine probasti me et cognovisti me". [1] The psalm is a hymn psalm. Attributed to David, it is known for its affirmation of God's omnipresence.

A Psalm of David. 139 O Lord, you have searched me and known me! 2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. 3 You search out my path and my lying down. and are acquainted with all my ways. 4 Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
